Data Wrangling

Clients often begin with a variety of information scattered throughout an organization. This information can be in electronic or paper form, and can include maps, reports, meeting information, or more complex files including video or audio information. To assemble all these data requires the ability to visualize linkages between them, and to develop a hierarchy of information that will allow logical organization of the data. Exa has worked on integration of a wide range of data types over the years as more sophisticated ways of capturing information are developed. We use specialized software to turn paper copies of important information into data efficiently and accurately. We build tools to help clients capture this information as well as metadata about that information so that the data can be classified and catalogued. Once the data are organized and systematically stored, Exa can then build databases and utilities to help the client quickly find the information they are looking for.
