NOAA manages data associated with the evaluation and restoration of environmental injuries from hazardous waste releases, oil spills, marine debris, and vessel groundings using the Data Integration Visualization Exploration and Reporting (DIVER) Explorer application which allows users to search on-line and download a broad array of environmental data specific to geographic regions or activities. Exa supports data ingest and management of the DIVER data stream by streamlining sample tracking procedures and data ingest procedures, improving backend database structure and design, developing programming, scripts, and procedures for data quality assurance and supporting multiple in-application data analyses including logistic regression modeling, dioxin toxicity equivalency analysis, toxic unit analysis and contaminant sums by chemical class.
